Cinia Secures Critical Infrastructure and Networks with SSH Products
Helsinki, Finland (PRWEB UK) 7 January 2016 -- Cinia Group, a Finland-based provider of intelligent connectivity and transmission services, today announced a frame agreement with SSH Communications Security. The agreement enables Cinia to use SSH products to ensure the security of Cinia’s critical infrastructure and data networks, strengthening Cinia’s position in ICT markets with exceptionally high security requirements.
The frame agreement complements Cinia’s offering with data security solutions. SSH products will be available from Cinia as individual components and comprehensive services. New offerings will benefit both existing Cinia clients and new users of cyber secure data connection currently being built between Finland and Germany (C-Lion1 sea cable).
“Our client organizations increasingly run their services on digital platforms, which adds to their need to ensure the security and availability of their digital infrastructure,” said Ari-Jussi Knaapila, CEO at Cinia Group. “Adding security products in our portfolio enables us to provide our clients across industries with services that meet both governmental and industry-specific standards.”
“The new European Network and Information Security directive and the existing Data Protection Directive are placing more emphasis on compliance requirements for data transfers and data management than ever before within the European Union,” said Harri Koponen, CEO, SSH Communications Security. “We are pleased to partner with Cinia to deliver Secure Shell key management and encrypted channel monitoring solutions to Cinia customers to empower them to meet these requirements.”
The cooperation between Cinia and SSH marks a new step in Cinia’s strategy to enable international organizations to build cyber secure IT infrastructures and cloud-based environments that respond to their operational needs in the future. At the first stage, the future service environment will benefit organizations with operations in Germany and Finland.
The frame agreement includes the opportunity to utilize a new next generation SSH firewall solution as part of Cinia’s connectivity services. Developed in Finland by SSH as an independent actor, the new SSH firewall will later be commercially available for other companies and organizations.
