Cinnamon Shore Is Becoming an Official Beach Guardian for the Annual Texas Adopt a Beach Program
Port Aransas, Texas (PRWEB) April 16, 2015 -- Cinnamon Shore is becoming an official Beach Guardian for the annual Texas adopt a beach program.
“The Adopt-A-Beach Spring Cleanup is a great day at the beach for a great cause,” said Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush. “Come out for sun and sand and help keep Texas beaches clean at any of our 30 clean-up sites along the coast.”
The Adopt-A-Beach clean-up starts at 8:30 a.m. with registration and runs until noon.
See http://www.glo.texas.gov/adopt-a-beach/cleanups/index.html for details.
By becoming an official Beach Guardian in the Texas Adopt-A-Beach program, Cinnamon Shore joins a network of concerned Texans dedicated to keeping the Texas coast clean, safe, and beautiful.
Cinnamon Shore's Beach Guardian Responsibilities include:
1. Cleaning the stretch of beach in front of the community during the Texas GLO Annual Spring Cleanup in April, during the Fall Cleanup in September and at least one another time.
2. Coordinating the cleanup efforts with the local Adopt-A-Beach program coordinator.
3. Recording information about trash collected on data cards provided by the Adopt-A-Beach program.
The Texas Adopt-A-Beach program is an all-volunteer effort to remove debris from the beaches and coastal area, and to increase public awareness about beach litter.
