City of Clearwater, Florida Selects GeoWorx Solution for Full Esri ArcGIS and Enterprise System Integration
Ann Arbor, MI (PRWEB) August 18, 2015 -- GeoNexus Technologies was selected, through a competitive process, by the City of Clearwater to integrate their existing Esri ArcGIS and Oracle Work and Asset Management (WAM) system. Under the agreement, the City receives an enterprise-wide license for the entire GeoWorx® product suite (GeoWorx: Map, Sync, Mobile, and Sketch), in support of the City’s ArcGIS and Oracle WAM integration initiatives.
As a public utility, servicing 108,000 residents, Clearwater sought to leverage their extensive geodatabase through a full integration of their GIS and Enterprise Asset Management systems to increase functionality and achieve a higher level of efficiency. The City’s ArcGIS and Oracle WAM systems are currently integrated through custom software that has been developed, supported and maintained in-house since the systems were first implemented.
As the preferred geospatial partner for Oracle Utilities, GeoNexus Technologies provides a proven platform for ArcGIS and Oracle WAM integration, delivering the functionality and efficiency that Clearwater desires and replacing the need for custom integration that required constant maintenance and attention. “Implementing the GeoWorx product suite will add a lot of functionality that we haven’t been able to provide in the past,” said Dan Mayer, IT Director, City of Clearwater. “It should reduce time spent by internal resources on support and maintenance of custom interfaces, and ultimately help us achieve a higher level of efficiency.”
ArcGIS and Oracle WAM are two separate systems, but share common data and support a variety of similar business processes such as work orders, service requests, dispatch, and customer support. The City of Clearwater will benefit from the combined power of ArcGIS and Oracle WAM, with access to visual tracking and management of enterprise assets and resources, vital resources for reliable and timely work execution and ultimately exceptional customer care, safety and regulatory compliance.
“GeoNexus has created an off-the-shelf product that makes it simple for my staff to manage the complex integration between ArcGIS and Oracle WAM,” Mayer said.
The utility will manage their multi-county natural gas system, water, storm water and waste water utilities, as well as their traffic engineering division and urban forestry division with the GeoWorx product suite.
