City of Schertz to Hold Superbowl Party at Schertz Public Library
Schertz, TX (PRWEB) January 31, 2014 -- The City of Schertz announced it is proud to present a Super Bowl party to get everyone ready for football’s biggest game at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, in the children’s program room at the Schertz Public Library, located at 798 Schertz Parkway.
The city encourages everyone to help celebrate and wear the colors of their favorite team to the event. There will be crafts, games and tailgate snacks to prep for game day. People of all ages are welcome to come out, and no registration is required. It is estimated that 20 million Americans attend a Super Bowl party and 10 million man-hours are spent preparing food for those parties.
The party is one of many events the City of Schertz puts on throughout the year. The others include Jubilee, a Fourth of July celebration; SchertzFest, a celebration of the city’s history; the Festival of Angels, the official kick-off to the holiday season; the Wilenchik Walk for Like, a 5k non-competitive walk held in memory of former Councilmember Tony Wilenchik, who passed away from cancer; and Absolute Jazz, which features local entertainers, wines, beers and vendors.
