CityView Events Announces New Events Coordinator Starting This June
Long Island City, NY (PRWEB) June 30, 2015 -- CityView Events, which is part of CityView Racquet Club in Long Island City, NY are pleased to announce that the club has a new events coordinator. May-Ling Chang filled the position on June 1, 2015, and brings with her extensive background in corporate and retail event planning.
Larry Hong, General Manager and partner at CityView Racquet Club, brought Chang on board due to her past work with brands such as Estee Lauder and Lancôme. Along with a background in corporate event planning and sales, Chang also worked as a Promotional Director and has managed special events programs for Macy's, Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman in the New York metro market.
According to Hong, this made Chang the perfect fit for CityView Events.
"I believe that by hiring someone like May-Ling with her event planning experience, contacts and web marketing expertise, she will bring an array of event possibilities to CityView," Hong commented. "We expect that she will flourish here and hope that she will immerse herself into The Long Island City community interests as well."
The club regularly hosts everything from corporate team building, board meetings and fundraising galas to cocktail, wedding receptions, birthday celebrations, day retreats and more in its lounge or on the rooftop event space.
CityView Racquet Club, which offers tennis and squash memberships, also uses the space for tennis and squash socials and outdoor Sunset Yoga classes on the roof deck.
But CityView Racquet Club is more than a private tennis and squash club, said Hong. It's also an event destination for the surrounding boroughs and beyond.
"Long Island City is a thriving community, and we're in the center of it," Hong explained. "Our event space, dining room and roof deck are exclusive, and there’s nothing else like it in the area."
The dining room at CityView features panoramic views of Long Island City and The Manhattan Skyline. The 3,000 sq ft private roof deck sits atop the iconic Swingline Stapler building in Long Island City. This makes it unique in the community, or as Hong called it, "The country club that New York has been missing."
