Civica Software Launches Real Time Parking Availability Web App for City of Santa Barbara
SAN DIEGO, CA (PRWEB) June 30, 2015 -- Civica Software, in conjunction with the City of Santa Barbara and Sentry Control Systems, announced the launch of an innovative real-time parking application. This mobile-focused application will serve over 4.4 million cars, which utilize the City of Santa Barbara's Downtown Parking Program per year.
Residents, visitors, and business owners alike approached the City regarding a web application that displays the parking lot occupancies in real time, via a mobile friendly implementation. The City of Santa Barbara staff partnered with Civica Software and Sentry Control Systems to develop and implement a completely responsive solution, which is also PCI DSS compliant. Users are able to view parking lot availabilities in real time, as well as get GPS directions directly to their desired lot through their native mobile map application.
“We are thrilled to implement this new technology for our community. Prior to the launch of this real-time parking application, finding available public parking in Downtown Santa Barbara could be difficult and time consuming, especially during events or peak hours. This new application will greatly improve our parking systems, as well as traffic flow throughout the city with fewer cars circling the streets to locate an available lot,” explained Justin Berman, Parking Coordinator of The City of Santa Barbara.
