Classic Lifeguard Reaches Second Year Anniversary with NAAMTA Accreditation
Page, AZ (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- In 2011, Classic Lifeguard achieved accreditation as a medical transport service through the National Accreditation Alliance of Medical Transport Applications (NAAMTA) http://www.naamta.com. They now celebrate their second year of ongoing compliance as a NAAMTA Alliance member, having continued to demonstrate their dedication to improving medical standards and patience care.
For more than 25 years, Classic Lifeguard, http://www.classiclifeguard.com (a rotor and fixed-wing organization) has been filling the needs for emergency air medical transport services receiving calls from multiple EMS and law enforcement agencies to hospitals and clinics along the Arizona/Utah border. Classic continues this tradition of excellence with bases now in the communities of Page, Arizona; Vernal, and Moab Utah; and Riverton, Wyoming.
NAAMTA’s Alliance members are held in high esteem for meeting stringent requirements that define and influence transport operational excellence. Classic Lifeguard demonstrated compliance in each of the numerous standards, offering documentation on processes for safety, aviation, and medical practices. NAAMTA found their compliance to be evident through employee interviews, on-site evaluations, and process reviews, all of which was conducted using ISO 9001:2008 auditing guidelines.
“The initial achievement of accreditation is a remarkable feat in and of itself,” says NAAMTA Executive Director Roylen “Griff” Griffin. “But ongoing compliance of our accreditation standards is the real demonstration of a higher quality of service. Living up to the expectations of our program requires a significant effort from all employees on a daily basis. Classic Lifeguard’s accomplishment of this anniversary is a huge milestone, both for their organization and for NAAMTA.”
After a medical transport organization attains accreditation through NAAMTA, they must demonstrate ongoing compliance in the form of yearly reports. These reports give evidence of the organization’s continued efforts at complying with NAAMTA standards and improving medical transport practices internally and externally.

Next year Classic Lifeguard will begin the application process to renew their accreditation, a significant milestone for any organization.
