Clean Earth, Inc. Announces Webinar Focused on Drill and Pipeline Cutting Reclamation
Hatboro, PA (PRWEB) December 18, 2013 -- Clean Earth, Inc. a leader in recycling contaminated soils, will present a webinar to explore the recycling potential of drill cuttings derived from gas exploration and production activities on December 19 at 1 p.m. EST. The webinar will be presented by Averil Rance, Vice President of Environmental, Health & Safety, and Daniel Mueller, General Manager – Drilling Services, in collaboration with Penn State Extension.
As the Marcellus and Utica Shale gas production industries have rapidly grown in the U.S., there is a recognized need to preserve landfill space and protect our environment. Along with this rapid growth come several questions, including: What is the real potential of beneficially reusing drill cuttings rather than employing traditional landfill disposal practices? What recycling or beneficial reuse options are available now that are still cost effective and how can this help your operations?
In the webinar, Drill and Pipeline Cutting Reclamation, Clean Earth will elaborate on how Marcellus Shale Drill Cuttings, Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) Cuttings and Drilling Sediments generated during the gas exploration and production activities could potentially address these concerns and how drill cuttings could play a key role in revitalizing PA brownfields and Act II Sites throughout the state.
Averil Rance, Vice President of EH&S at Clean Earth, Inc. states, “As we enter Phase II of our Research & Development permit we have made great progress in building data that supports the environmental benefits of this type of waste being recycled, to become not only a reusable product, but a reusable, sustainable product that benefits the environment.”
“Drill and Pipeline Cutting Reclamation” will be free for participants, and registration is not necessary. All are welcome to participate on December 19, 2013 at 1 p.m. EST by logging into https://meeting.psu.edu/pscems/.
Clean Earth opened the first and only Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Research & Development Facility in 2011 permitted to treat and beneficially reuse shale drill cuttings. To read more about this facility, visit: http://www.cleanearthinc.com/Locations/Williamsport-PA.
