ClearPoint Client, City of Tamarac, FL, Enters Balanced Scorecard Hall of Fame
Boston, MA (PRWEB) November 13, 2013 -- The City of Tamarac, FL, joins other ClearPoint Strategy clients, including the Citi Performing Arts Center and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico, in being inducted into the Balanced Scorecard Hall of Fame for Executing Strategy in recognition of its improved performance and citizen satisfaction.
The journey for Tamarac started when the City established its performance management system. After experiencing a major change in the age of residents and, therefore, requiring new service needs, Tamarac adopted the Balanced Scorecard strategy management system to better serve its citizens. The Balanced Scorecard allowed the City to ensure that resources were allocated to the areas of greatest need, a critical task in the era of continued budgetary uncertainty.
The performance management system consisted of strategic planning, scorecards, and direct customer feedback via transactional surveys. But, after implementing it for some time, the City reviewed the process and found that while it had helped drive performance, the data were being tracked in three separate databases that weren’t centralized resulting in data duplication. To remedy the situation, Tamarac applied for and won a grant from the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services (FMCS).
After extensively evaluating the other cloud-based performance management solutions, Tamarac chose ClearPoint Strategy to further enhance its performance management system. The City is using ClearPoint to manage the scorecards, goals, and measures across all of its divisions and departments and roll up that data to a city-wide scorecard. Instead of disparate solutions scattered throughout the City, there’s one place to go to get the most up-to-date performance information.
As a result of implementing the BSC, the City has improved the performance of its various departments and increased workforce engagement.
