NASHVILLE, TENN. (PRWEB) October 30, 2013 -- Following a year of record attendance, Clearwater Compliance has announced its 2014 HIPAA Compliance BootCamp™ schedule. In total, Clearwater will bring this intensive educational experience focused on HIPAA-HITECH regulations to five major cities across the United States. Additionally, the BootCamp™ curriculum will be available via a series of 9-hour “virtual” live, web-based events throughout the year. The Virtual BootCamp™ is comprised of the same content, but presented over the course of three, 3-hour live webinar sessions.
This nationally recognized program earns attendees continuing professional education (CPE) units from major healthcare and security organizations. The curriculum is geared toward professionals who are responsible for ensuring their healthcare organizations become and remain compliant with the HIPAA Privacy, Security and HITECH Breach Notification regulations. The BootCamp™ incorporates a highly interactive live and virtual classroom setting to tackle HIPAA-HITECH fundamentals, while offering practical tools and support for organizations to apply their learning.
Clearwater’s BootCamp™ format is an effective way for organizations to jumpstart a more rigorous and comprehensive approach to HIPAA-HITECH compliance. As 2014 ushers in a year of “vigorous enforcement” by the Department of Health and Human Services' (DHHS') Office for Civil Rights, these events serve as a timely resource to HIPAA Covered Entities and Business Associates.
“Our BootCamp curriculum is a proven way to quickly learn the requirements and set HIPAA-HITECH compliance priorities so that you are not placing your business at significant risk,” said Bob Chaput, CEO and founder of Clearwater Compliance. “It’s never been more critical for Covered Entities and Business Associates to know how compliant they are with the regulations and to establish a plan that documents genuine, good faith efforts to become and remain compliant under the law.”
Clearwater will close out its 2013 BootCamp™ series in St. Louis on December 11. Hundreds of organizations participated in this year’s BootCamp™ events, prompting Clearwater to expand BootCamp™ events in 2014 to meet customer demand.
