Clickstop Makes Pledge to Virginia Gay Hospital Foundation for New Clinic Construction Project
Urbana, IA (PRWEB) December 21, 2015 -- As Urbana-based Clickstop is undergoing its own building expansion, it’s also pledging support for its local hospital in the form of a $20,000 gift towards the construction of a new clinic building.
Virginia Gay Hospital (VGH) in Vinton, which serves residents from Urbana and other communities across Benton County, is set to break ground in April 2016 on a new 18,500 square foot facility. The new building will replace the 8,300 square foot clinic constructed in 1974 and is slated to open in May 2017, with final completion of all aspects of the project by November 1, 2017.
The new space will have 27 exam rooms and accommodate nine healthcare providers and their staff. The current space has only 15 exam rooms for six providers. The new clinic will also allow for the addition of staff members to work in the area of behavioral health.
The total project cost is estimated to be $5.5 million, with $4.5 coming from VGH operations. That leaves $1 million in funds needed from community support.
Tim Guenther, Clickstop Founder and CEO, says he is grateful for the community’s support as his business has grown since putting down roots in Urbana in 2008, and appreciates the opportunity to help an organization like VGH.
“It’s exciting to have the opportunity to give back to local needs like this, while working toward bettering the communities around us,” said Guenther.
VGH Foundation Director Michael Timmermans says the fundraising is going well, with over $600,000 in pledges and gifts already raised.
“Since 1923 when Virginia Gay Hospital opened, people have given of their time, talent, and money to provide whatever was necessary to stay on the cutting edge of healthcare. Building a new clinic will allow us to continue the “Tradition of Healing” that has been established thanks to the generosity of the people of Benton County and the surrounding area.”
Gifts can be made as a one-time donation, or an ongoing gift paid annually, semi-annually, quarterly, or monthly over a period of years.
Businesses and individuals interested in giving are encouraged to call 319-472-6375, or email Timmermans at mtimmermans(at)vghinc.com
