Clickstop Rolls Out New Employee Profit Sharing Program
Urbana, IA (PRWEB) April 30, 2014 -- As growth continues at Urbana-based Clickstop, the company’s employee profit sharing program is also growing to include new benefits for employees.
The initial profit sharing plan was introduced in January 2012 as a way for employees to share in the successes of the growing company. For full-time employees who had been with the company for one year, a cash bonus was paid out quarterly when profit goals were reached.
The newly revamped program has been expanded to include part-time employees consistently working over 30 hours a week, and who have worked at least 2,000 total hours. Goals are now focused on the company’s gross profit after advertising (GPA) rather than revenue because it more clearly and accurately reflects the performance of the company.
Employees are informed of the GPA targets each month, with updates shared weekly to show progress. When a monthly GPA target is reached, every eligible employee is paid a bonus equaling that percent of their pay in the pay period.
Clickstop founder and CEO Tim Guenther says the redesign of the program was created to not only share information, but also motivate and empower employees.
“This profit sharing program is a vital piece of the Clickstop culture,” said Guenther. “We like to have fun while we work, but it’s important that we’re all personally responsible for our contribution. Sharing in the profit is a great way to reward employees after their impact reaches the bottom line.”
Educating employees is a primary focus for the company. Profit sharing discussions occur daily, with ongoing training for all employees happening at least monthly.
Another change in the profit sharing program is the addition of funding for the company’s Clickstop Cares program. A portion of the company profits will be funneled into the program, which focuses on helping people in the community. Under the plan, up to $50,000 per year can be used to fund Clickstop Cares.
Clickstop was founded by Guenther in 2005, when he began selling a variety of cargo control products on its USCargoControl.com website. The company now operates nine different web store properties and has 79 employees.
