Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) December 18, 2013 -- Fast-growing eClinical Solutions provider Clinovo today announced two additions to their board of directors: Jean-Louis Bories, angel investor at Band of Angels, and Glenn Keet, a leader in the health information technology industry.
Jean-Louis Bories has been an executive in the technology sector for the past 30 years and is now an active angel investor. As a member of the Band of Angels his first investments were in IT Healthcare with an EHR company that recently closed their series D investment round for $70 million. Jean-Louis invested in Clinovo in September 2013 after leading a comprehensive due diligence process that brought 5 additional angel investors including senior executives from Cisco Systems, HP, Cadence, a medical device professional investor as well as a professor of pediatrics.
“The company has the potential to disrupt and grasp the growing eClinical systems market with their Cloud-based eClinical solution,” states Jean-Louis Bories. “For these reasons I found Clinovo to present a low-risk investment, particularly since it has an established customer base and diversified revenue streams.”
Glenn Keet, who has worked in Health Information Technology for nearly three decades, was most recently the SVP for Business Development for Optum’s Health Cloud initiative. Prior, he was President and cofounder of Axolotl, a pioneer in the Health Information Exchange (HIE) industry, which he led through explosive growth and to a successful sale to Ingenix, a division of United Health Group, in 2010. Prior to his role as president of Axolotl, Glenn headed several departments, including Sales and Marketing, Professional Services and Product Management. Previously he held management positions at Mercator, an EDI firm now owned by IBM.
“I have been impressed with what has already been accomplished at Clinovo,” said Keet. “I am even more impressed with the opportunities still in front of Clinovo, which is exceedingly well positioned to capitalize on the 80% of clinical trials that are not yet being managed utilizing CRO software.”
“Jean-Louis and Glenn bring complementary skill sets, and each has a track record of success that speaks for itself,” says Ale Gicqueau, President & CEO at Clinovo. “We are building the foundations for Clinovo’s next phase of development and growth. We are very excited to expand our experienced board of directors and get additional advice and guidance on execution of the company vision.”
