Clutch Group Named as a Finalist in the Supplier of the Year Category for the 2014 British Legal Awards

The British Legal Awards, held by Legal Week, are the leading awards for the UK’s business law community and incorporates 27 different categories into its program. The Awards Ceremony took place on November 27, 2014 at the Old Billingsgate Market in London. The ceremony was attended by over a thousand of the most elite lawyers and general counsel in the industry.
Clutch Group’s submission focused on LAECS (the Legal Agreement Extraction & Codification System), a proprietary documentation platform that extracts and codifies key reference data from legal and financial contracts and agreements, allowing for easy sorting, searching, and analysis.
Clutch built LAECS to help a top financial services institution conduct a full-scale remediation of its derivatives contract environment and to implement an evergreen process for ongoing derivatives documentation processes. Harnessing LAECS’ customized data models and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) search functionality, Clutch’s data analytics team extracted and validated over 110,000 ISDA-related agreements for the bank, allowing the client to gain much-needed insight into its Over-The-Counter derivatives environment and exposure. LAECS is now being deployed for Business As Usual processes that have increased the bank’s legal and business operations teams’ productivity while also reducing overall costs.
LAECS was also recently recognized as an industry-leading tool in the International Association for Contract & Commercial Management Innovation Awards.
