CME Outfitters Announces Brand New Live and On Demand Activity on Adult ADHD to Launch September 1, 2015
Bethesda, Maryland (PRWEB) July 27, 2015 -- CME Outfitters (CMEO), a leading accredited provider of continuing medical education, announces its upcoming neuroscienceCME Live and On Demand activity: Reconsidering Adult ADHD. The live activity will launch on Tuesday, September 1st at 12:00pm ET. Faculty experts Timothy E. Wilens, MD, Doris M. Greenberg, MD, and Adelaide Sherwood Robb MD will lead an interactive one-hour discussion that will challenge clinicians to improve outcomes in their patients with adult ADHD. Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, case managers, and other health care professionals interested in adult ADHD are encouraged to register.
CMEO’s Live and On Demand format is an online and mobile 90-minute, live, panel discussion that offers cutting-edge insights from national experts in adult ADHD. This live interactive broadcast is a key differentiator and unique to CMEO online activities. Clinicians will have the opportunity to engage in real time with faculty and with peers through Q&A and Twitter. Included in the 90-minute activity is a special 30-minute Q&A segment designed to provide learners time to ask additional questions, interact with the experts, and share challenges via phone, by using the Q&A widget on the web interface, email, or Twitter.
“We’re particularly excited for the launch of this activity because we are taking an innovative approach to the content development. Communities of patients are driving the conversation in adult ADHD and in health care. We are tapping into those communities by interviewing patient leaders in adult ADHD and integrating those patient-centered insights into the development of the education,” said Shari Tordoff, CCMEP, CMEO Managing Partner, “We believe that pairing the insights of patient leaders with evidence from physician leaders is an opportunity to really help practicing clinicians impact care.”
At the end of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Screen adult patients for a history of ADHD and evaluate for ADHD symptoms especially as comorbid with other disorders.
• Implement a comprehensive treatment strategy that is personalized with patient input and includes both pharmacological and nonpharmacological approaches to the management of adult ADHD.
