CME Outfitters Announces Brand New Live and On Demand Activity on Psoriatic Arthritis to Launch May 1, 2015

The live program will launch on Friday, May 1st at 12:00pm ET. Faculty experts April W. Armstrong, MD, MPH, and Joel M. Gelfand, MD, MSCE will lead an interactive one-hour discussion that will challenge clinicians to improve outcomes in their patients with psoriatic arthritis through live discussion that will help practicing clinicians recognize the early signs of psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and implement screening techniques, discuss recommendations for the treatment of moderate-to-severe PsA, and advise on when and how to collaborate with rheumatologists in the management of moderate-to-severe PsA. Dermatologists, rheumatologists, internists, primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, and other health care providers that manage or counsel patients with psoriatic arthritis are encouraged to register.
CMEO’s Live and On Demand format is an online and mobile 90-minute, live, panel discussion that offers cutting-edge insights from national experts in psoriatic arthritis. This live interactive broadcast is a key differentiator and unique to CMEO online activities. Clinicians will have the opportunity to engage in real time with faculty and with peers through Q&A and Twitter. Included in the 90-minute activity is a special 30-minute Q&A segment designed to provide learners time to ask additional questions, interact with the experts, and share challenges via phone, by using the Q&A widget on the web interface, email, or Twitter.

At the end of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Implement screening guidelines to ensure 75% of patients with psoriasis are screened for psoriatic arthritis in the next three months.
• Apply professional treatment guidelines in more than 50% of patients with psoriatic arthritis in the next three months.
• Coordinate care and consult with rheumatologists for more than 50% of patients with moderate or severe psoriatic arthritis in the next three months.
