CMI/Compas Employees to Volunteer During Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service
King of Prussia, PA (PRWEB) January 15, 2015 -- CMI/Compas is participating in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service on Monday, January 19th, 2015. As a NMSDC-certified minority owned company that prioritizes community service, CMI/Compas is proud to embrace diversity and give back to the community.
To kick off the community service initiative as part of their core culture in 2015, agency employees will volunteer at several locations spanning across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. CMI/Compas employees will help clean the Lingelbach Elementary School, turn a file room into a classroom at The Norristown Project, bag lunches at Unitarian Society of Germantown, read to students at St. Paul’s Baptist Church, and help take care of animals and build shelters at the Humane Society of New York and the Animal Welfare Association in New Jersey. The multiple location options allow all employees across all four offices to participate.
Inspired by Martin Luther King, Jr.'s urging to give back to the community, and United We Serve, the President's national call to service initiative, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is considered a day of service, calling for Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to our most pressing national problems.
CMI/Compas leads other initiatives throughout the year to support the community, including sponsoring and mentoring four Cristo Rey students from the Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School and participating in 19 years of Adopt-a-Family, among others.
The agencies’ offices will be open on January 19th, 2015 allowing core staff to service clients on urgent matters.
