PASADENA, Calif. (PRWEB) April 11, 2018 -- Coast Autonomous, a self-driving vehicle technology company, announced today that it has signed a lease agreement to have its headquarters remain in Pasadena, California.
After meeting with Pasadena City Councilmember Andy Wilson (District 7), Old Pasadena Management District President & CEO Steve Mulheim, current and former members of the research and scientific communities at Caltech and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, representatives from the ArtCenter College of Design, and leaders of Pasadena’s engineering and tech business communities, Coast Autonomous decided that Pasadena, located in the heart of Los Angeles County, is the ideal innovative hub to continue to develop its best-in-class self-driving vehicle technology.
“In relatively close proximity to USC, UCLA and our colleagues in Silicon Valley, and with world-class resources located in the city itself, greater Pasadena has an extremely rich and deep technology and design talent base from which to recruit and collaborate,” said Coast Autonomous CTO Pierre Lefevre, the father of low-speed autonomous vehicles. “Our team of engineers, roboticists, mapping scientists, and vehicle fleet management and supervision experts have been made to feel right at home in Pasadena and are always eager to return. Pasadena is a great place to innovate.”
“Old Pasadena Management District is very pleased that Coast Autonomous has decided to remain in the historic Old Pasadena district,” said Mulheim. “Our many design, technology, and innovation tenants are an integral part of our neighborhood, and Coast Autonomous is a significant member of that important community.”
