The COBB & Co. Wooden Watches comprise of 11 distinct designs. During the design phase, a number of core concepts were incorporated which included the use of natural wood, use of modern materials to bring out the best of the natural wood, a 3-dimensional texture with distinct features on the dial of the watch and lastly, to create watches that are stylish and easy to wear for all occasions.
To retain the natural concept, all of the wood is naturally sourced and has not been finished with paint. There are four different types of wood used in the watches: Ebony; Maple from North America; Red Sandalwood and Green Sandalwood from Mozambique.
Creator and designer of COBB & Co. Wooden Watches, Luke van de Paverd said, “The best part about using natural wood is that each watch is 100% unique; no watch is exactly the same as any other watch.”
All COBB & Co. watches are made with medical grade stainless steel, a top quality Japanese Miyota 2115 mechanism, and oblique dial ring, a fine ribbed pattern behind the roman numerals and a recessed inner dial with a wood grain pattern.
The COBB & Co. logo is engraved on the back of the case; and for the stainless steel watches, the logo is etched on the buckle. The leather straps are made from top layer leather for the outside of the strap and split leather for the inside of the strap. The watches are scratched resistant as well as water resistant to 30 meters (3ATM). Each watch is packaged in a matching gift box and comes with a 3-year warranty.
The Indiegogo campaign runs through September 11th with a goal of $30,000 to meet minimum manufacturing order requirements and for worldwide distribution.
