Codan Launches Envoy SmartLink for Wireless HF
Abu Dhabi, UAE — IDEX 2015, stand #03-A11 (PRWEB) February 22, 2015 -- Codan Radio Communications, a division of Codan Limited (ASX-CDA), has launched the Envoy SmartLink, a device that enables wireless IP connectivity into an Envoy High Frequency (HF) radio network.
“The Envoy SmartLink is the only product of its kind for HF radio. It provides convenient wireless access for smartphones, tablets and computers into the HF radio network, giving users mobility and freedom from wired connections” said Steven Jenkins, VP and GM, HF Technology at Codan Radio Communications.
In collaboration, Codan Radio has launched Independent Sideband (ISB) capability for Envoy, doubling the current data capability from 9,600 bps to 19,200 bps. Teamed with the launch of Envoy SmartLink, an Envoy HF data network is twice as fast and accessible from any IP enabled device.
In addition to the Envoy SmartLink providing wireless access, it also enables multiple control points to connect to a single Envoy RF unit, meaning multiple Envoy handsets or consoles can be connected to the Envoy radio from any geographic location, enabling complete system flexibility. SmartLink also provides conventional wired Ethernet connections for applications where this is desirable, such as integrating Envoy systems into existing IT infrastructure.

Codan has also launched a French language interface and documentation for its Envoy HF smart radio.
