CodeMonkey Announces Strategic Partnerships in the U.S. and Internationally
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 01, 2016 -- CodeMonkey is excited to announce its new strategic partnerships to further growth as the demand for k12 computer science resources surges. In the U.S. CodeMonkey has partnered with Sunburst and Learning.com to bring its platform into schools and districts throughout the U.S. Sunburst is a veteran distributor whose products are found in more than 95% of U.S. school districts. Learning.com works with 2,500 districts and serves 5.6 million students across more then 20 counties. “We’re confident that these partnerships will accelerate our growth in the U.S. market very quickly,” says Jonathan Schor, CodeMonkey Co-Founder and CEO.
“Teaching computer science in schools isn’t new – it has been an elective in high schools for many years. What is new and exciting is the idea of a third grader learning to code, and the notion of computer science as the ‘fifth core subject area’ alongside English/language arts, math, social studies and science,” said Learning.com CEO Keith Oelrich.
“We’re very excited about the partnership with Learning.com,” said Jonathan Schor. “Learning.com serves over 5 million students in the U.S., and we believe this cooperation will be instrumental in helping us reach more and more students with our coding curriculum. We’ve had a good experience with partnerships with publishers so far: our strategic partnership with CET, Israel’s largest educational publisher has brought CodeMonkey to over 250,000 students in Israel.”
CodeMonkey is also opening doors in other parts of the world, including Brazil, Russia, Sweden and Kazakhstan, where partnerships, pilots and government led initiatives are underway. In Sweden CodeMonkey is already being marketed and sold by leading publisher Natur&Kultur, in Brazil by Santillana/Moderna and in Japan by J21 Corporation.
