“[We] had encountered a number of compliance related requirements that Cockpit was well positioned to handle, leading us to more seamless design control, risk management, and documentation processes,” said Chris Henry. “Two major issues to address were the need to reduce time spent manually maintaining consistency throughout project documents, and the desire to have the ability to baseline an entire project platform.”
Mr. Henry had found that 80-90% of software development time was spent on planning and documentation. By using the Cockpit platform and its powerful template and trace matrix ability, Epic Sciences saw an approximate 10% decrease in planning activities, a 25% increase in execution activity, and a 15% decrease in documentation time.
