Collect All 5 Klement’s Famous Racing Sausage™ Magnets
Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) July 26, 2013 -- Klement’s Sausage Company is bringing the tasty tradition and fun-loving personalities of the Klement’s Famous Racing Sausages™ to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel this summer.
Each week, an ad in the paper will feature one of the five Klement’s Famous Racing Sausages™ -- Bratwurst, Polish, Italian, Hot Dog and Chorizo. Readers can purchase packages of Klement’s brats and sausages from participating local grocers and mail in the UPC for a signature Klement’s Famous Racing Sausage™ magnet. A new Sausage will be featured every 2 weeks throughout October 4, 2013. Readers can collect all five magnets.
“We are so excited to partner with Klement’s, and bring these amazing Famous Racing Sausage magnets to the market,” said Tom Baylerian, director of sales promotions for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “It’s such a creative way for our readers to collect a little piece of Milwaukee history.”
The Klement’s Famous Racing Sausage™ tradition began in the early 90s as cartoon sausages running a race on the mega-screen at County Stadium. As the Sausage Race’s popularity grew, the Sausages took physical form. The Bratwurst (#1), Polish Sausage (#2) and Italian Sausage (#3) made their debut out of the left field corner of County Stadium on selected Sundays throughout the season. In the mid 90s, the trio became a foursome when Hot Dog (#4) joined the racing team. And in 2007, Chorizo (#5) joined the Klement's Famous Racing Sausages™ as a permanent member of the Sausage squad.
Now, taking center stage during the sixth inning of every Milwaukee Brewers™ home game at Miller Park, the tradition has become a much-anticipated event. The success of the Klement's Famous Racing Sausages™ has blossomed beyond initial expectations. Sausage fans can quench their appetites for the racers with sausage bobbleheads, t-shirts, dolls and through various sausage appearances throughout the year.
“The Klement’s Famous Racing Sausages™ have really become quite a phenomenon,” said Jack Belke, Executive Vice President for Klement’s. “We are thrilled to offer the magnets as well as some really great specials and coupons through our partnership with the Journal Sentinel.”
The magnet program also includes the chance for one Sausage fan to win the party of a lifetime in the Famous Racing Sausages Tailgate Sweepstakes, sponsored by Klement’s. One lucky winner will receive 20 tickets to a 2014 Milwaukee Brewers home game, a tailgate party stocked with sausages and other ballpark staples courtesy of Klement’s and a meet and greet with the Klement’s Famous Racing Sausages™.
For more details, find the first magnet promo ad in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Wednesday, July 24. A new ad will run each week through October 4.
