Colleton River Initiates Extensive Community Enhancements
Bluffton, SC (PRWEB) December 21, 2015 -- Colleton River has recently undertaken an extensive, ongoing benchmarking and amenity assessment analysis. It is the Club’s intent to stay on the leading edge of golf course community trends and continue to offer an amenity package to its membership that maintains the Club’s position as one on the top tier of nationally-ranked private golf course communities.
To this end the Club has recently embarked on a capital campaign intended to both revitalize community assets & amenities and enhance the total profile of amenities offered at the Club. A new playground was completed in August 2015, and an additional tennis court was constructed in September at the Stan Smith Tennis Center. The tennis center is impressive, and is one of the nicest in the Lowcountry. In addition to the new court, the existing courts were refinished and palm trees were added to create a more “Colleton-like” aesthetic – beautiful and playable.
“Our Board of Directors has strategically planned to position Colleton River for continued success. We will continue to make investments to enhance and preserve assets for the future, meet the needs of a changing demographic, grow the club’s diversity and bring an experience to our members and guests that is unmatched,” said Tim Bakels, COO/General Manager of Colleton River.
The complete amenity plan includes:
•New playground– August 2015
•Additional tennis court – September 2015
•Security surveillance system upgrades – December 2015
•Dye course enhancements – 2016
•Borland course renovation - 2106
•Addition of short game area – 2016
•Nicklaus course learning center addition – 2016
•Nicklaus course fairway transition to Celebration grass (state of the art turf) – 2017
