Colloquial Announces Publishing Partnership with Medium
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 25, 2015 -- Colloquial, the recently launched content marketing unit from J. Walter Thompson Company and Group SJR, today announced the launch of a six-month exclusive agency partnership with Medium, a next-generation digital publishing platform that combines select publishing tools with a vibrant community built on social engagement and discovery.
Founded in 2012 by Twitter co-founder Evan Williams, Medium is the place where provocative thinkers – ranging from students to presidents – share their ideas and drive conversations on topics that are personal or global, urgent or timeless, weighty or observational.
Colloquial builds publishing and storytelling environments for brands, with an emphasis on creative content and original narratives that create loyalty and draw followers. The relationship with Medium will enhance the company’s offering for clients, allowing them to use state-of-the-art platforms to bring brand stories to life. As part of the partnership, Colloquial will also get “first looks” at products for agencies and beta testing opportunities on the site.
Edward Lichty, Corporate Development and Strategy Lead for Medium, said, “Great brands are built on ideas and values. The exchange of ideas that reflect values is at the cornerstone of why Medium exists, and we’re excited to be working with Colloquial to help us learn how to unlock Medium's potential for brands across the globe.”
The partnership officially kicks off this week at the 2015 Cannes Lions Festival where Colloquial will be using Medium as the hub for its Cannes coverage at https://medium.com/the-colloquial.
“Medium and Colloquial share the passion to create high-quality, visually compelling content while continually reaching and building reach and audience. In short, Medium is a perfectly suited platform for Colloquial and our clients,” said Alexander Jutkowitz, CEO of Colloquial.
“Using Medium, we will test out new ways to create meaningful dialogue between our clients and their audiences,” added Jinal Shah, Strategy Lead for Colloquial. “We will also work closely with the Medium teams to experiment with and inform new feature developments. We are all very excited about the possibilities.”
