Colorado’s Cannabis Industry Recognizes the Industry Leaders and Pioneers at The Second Annual Cannabis Business Awards and Holiday White Ball this Week in Denver
Denver, CO (PRWEB) December 17, 2013 -- Colorado’s cannabis industry celebrates the Second Annual Cannabis Business Awards Holiday White Ball and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday December 18 at Casselman's in Downtown Denver. The live red carpet event includes infused chocolate fountains, vaporizer pens and an awards ceremony recognizing the advocates and pioneers of this new industry. The event will be hosted by Clover Leaf CEO Chloe Villano, Phytiva’s CEO Robert Kane, and iCannabis Radio's Georgia Edson with local industry comedians Cameron V. Humanity and Chris Carlton.
With passage of cannabis legalization in Colorado, the cannabis industry is primed to honor those industry professionals who have made significant impact on or contribution to the industry as a whole. The nominations were determined by a popular, web-based vote with nearly 1000 votes submitted for industry nominated entries.
Wednesday the industry’s top professionals will gather together for a legalization holiday celebration all while contributing to a good cause. The Cannabis Business Awards Holiday White Ball and Awards Ceremony fundraiser includes a silent auction to benefit The Cash Hyde Foundation. This worthy cause assists children in need who are suffering from cancer.
“It gives me great pleasure to not only be a part of history, but to also bring awareness to the this worthy cause. After losing my 15 year old brother to cancer, I can personally share my experiences first hand as to how debilitating this terrible disease can be.” says Clover Leaf’s Chloe Villano. “This is truly a historic event to honor and award our industry pioneers who have paved the way for cannabis legalization."
On January 1, 2014, the first licensed retail stores in Colorado will open their doors and sell cannabis for adult consumption to anyone 21 years of age or older. "It’s one of the most historic days I will ever experience," said Villano. "It’s important to acknowledge the dedication and efforts of the many people who have contributed to making this day a reality."
The Cannabis Business Awards is Colorado’s first business awards ceremony that honors nominees in categories such as Best Publication, Most Valuable Industry Organization, Peoples’ Choice Awards, and Most Influential Individual to name a few. The event will be held Wednesday, December 18 at 6:00 pm at Casselman's 2620 Walnut St, Denver, Colorado, and will be attended by the most elite members of the cannabis community.
