Columbia Southern University, Firefighters Museum Offer Video on Smoke Alarm Safety
Orange Beach, Ala. (PRWEB) October 02, 2014 -- Columbia Southern University (CSU), one of the nation’s top online universities, recently partnered with the Alabama Firefighters Museum and Education Center to produce a public service announcement for National Fire Prevention Week, Oct. 5-11, and Fire Prevention Month (October).
Sponsored by the National Fire Prevention Association, Fire Prevention Week’s goal is to educate and assist citizens, particularly children, in learning the basics of fire safety and planning. This year’s theme is “Working Smoke Alarms Save Lives.”
In promoting this valuable message, CSU asks all media outlets and websites to air the PSA in support of smoke alarm safety. The 15-second video features Billy Hayes, a member of the Board of Directors of the Alabama Firefighters Museum, offering instructions on testing and maintaining smoke alarms.
