Columbus-based Kahiki Foods Picks Up The Beat
Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) October 06, 2016 -- Kahiki Foods, Inc., the innovative creators of bold and exciting frozen Asian food, announces that Juanita Simpson has joined the company as Dragon Boat Drummer.
“In most companies, Juanita would be introduced as the Director of Human Resources and Strategic Projects, but that is not the way we do things at Kahiki. Juanita and her team (known internally as the FOO Fighters) create the drumbeat that helps our company stay focused on exciting and delighting our consumers, expressing our creativity and passion in the great tasting food that we produce, and making us proud of the work we do”, said Martin Kelly, The Big Kahuna at Kahiki.
“I am really excited about joining the Kahiki team, and helping the company achieve its potential. We have a great nucleus of people, a fun environment, open communication, and lots of opportunities for those who have the right attitude and aptitude, said Drummer Simpson. Ms. Simpson earned bachelor of science degrees in Human Resources and Supply Chain Management from the University of Akron, and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio University. She previously held HR and project management positions at 1 EDI Source of Solon, OH; Sunless Inc. of Macedonia, OH; and MACTac of Stow, OH.
“We are very fortunate to have someone with Juanita’s energy, enthusiasm and talent joining our organization. We have some great momentum building, and adding Juanita to our leadership team will help us to accelerate our growth and development as a business, and as a great place to work,” added Kahuna Kelly.
Recently, Kahiki has been on quite a roll, scoring exciting wins on multiple fronts. The company has added several new accounts, such as Jewel in Chicago, HEB in Texas and Hannaford in New England, and has greatly expanded distribution in existing accounts in the Northeast, Great Lakes and Mid-South regions of the country. Just recently, The Gourmet Retailer selected Kahiki’ s new Thai Basil Chicken Yum Yum Stix™ as one of the top 60 “most original, engaging and downright fun specialty food items introduced at retail over the past year.”
