The game then went into overtime, where kicker Steven Hauschka kicked a 27-yard field goal to keep the Seahawks on top of those NFC West standings.
Somehow, the Seahawks keep pulling off these amazing comebacks. But it does not matter how they win, because they do indeed, keep on winning. Multiple records were set or tied in Sunday’s game. The win over Tampa marked the 12th straight victory at home, which ties the franchise record. The win also gave Wilson a perfect 12-0 as Seattle’s starting quarterback. Finally, this marked the first game that the team came back from a 21-point deficit.
Another crazy, unexpected game on Sunday evening was the Colts versus the Texans. Just like the Seahawks, the Colts keep finding ways to comeback in these games, even when it looks like it is all over for them. Indianapolis was down 21-3 at half to the Texans, who have just two wins in this 2013 season. Not only were they down at half, but they stayed down late into the third quarter, by a score of 24-6. Even when it was looking like their worst game ever, something happened and all of the sudden the team was looking great. Andrew Luck experienced one the best comebacks in his short career, and the Colts rallied for the 27-24 win, withut ging into overtime.
In other NFL record-breaking news, Eagles quarterback Nick Foles tied the NFL touchdown passes record on Sunday with 7, as Philadelphia dominated the Oakland Raiders. Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos tied the same record earlier this season. Unlike the Seahawks and Colts, the Eagles won this game from the very beginning of the game. Sunday marked only the ninth NFL start for Foles, but he proved that he is just as worthy as anyone else to be playing on that field. Foles had more touchdowns in the game than incompletions, as he led the Eagles to a 49-20 win.
