Comedy Legend Tim Conway to Star at Samaritan Inn Gala
Collin County, TX (PRWEB) December 11, 2013 -- The Samaritan Inn, Collin County’s leading homeless shelter, welcomes Tim Conway, one of the funniest men in show business, as the keynote speaker for its February 8, 2014 Gala. Conway is best known from his co-starring role in TV’s classic Carol Burnett Show and is the recipient of five Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe.
Hosted by Steve Stoler, Director of Media Relations for the City of Plano, the annual Gala is the primary fundraiser for The Samaritan Inn and is generously sponsored by Capital One Financial Corporation for the second consecutive year.
In 2012, over 700 people called The Samaritan Inn home, and 90 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to shelter, food, clothing, counseling and life skill classes. The mission of the program is to help people return to independence within the community, and over 72 percent of their population succeeds.
Lynne Sipiora, Executive Director of The Samaritan Inn, shared: "This year we will break ground on a desperately needed family shelter and it will be the focus of our Gala. Many families are in crisis and we are committed to helping them transition back to independence."

The 2014 Samaritan Inn Gala will be held at the Marriott Legacy Town Center in Plano, TX and will include a seated dinner, hosted bar and an extensive silent auction.
