ComFreight releases it's logistics user rating system in BETA
Long Beach, CA (PRWEB) April 29, 2015 -- User rating systems have been a part of some of the consumer freight focused marketplace websites for some time. ComFreight wants it to be the center of its user experience feedback loop for its growing community of commercial shippers, carriers and logistics providers on its freight matching web app and load board.
"The new user rating system will allow our users, who are using ComFreight from their smart phones, tablets and personal computers, to rate users who they have an interaction with at anytime and from anywhere," Steve Kochan, CEO of ComFreight said.
The rating system is tied back to the user's public and shareable company profile page that they can update and create upon creating their account. Currently the rating system is rolled out to specific active accounts and the support team is closely monitoring ratings to improve the system before it's expanded to all user profile pages for the freight marketplace. Because it's in beta for a small subset of users, disputes will be handled on a case by case basis helping to refine the rating system before it's rolled out to all users currently on the platform.
"Rating transportation providers and the people providing the freight or paying for the services is something we've been excited about launching for some time now. With our user growth starting to expand at a faster rate and with more and more interactions occurring on a day to day basis along with multiple requests from users for such a system we believe this is the right time to release the feature in beta," said Kochan.
Rating systems like this have been popular with ride sharing mobile apps for example. Drivers or transportation service providers are able to see what the community feedback has been via crowd sourced data before they finalize a pick up or a business transaction with another user of the app. More transparency and better accountability creates a more honest marketplace and higher quality connections.
