Comic-Con Accolades Heighten DARK PROPHET Momentum
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) September 09, 2014 -- The first comic book version of the revolutionary multiplatform storytelling franchise, DARK PROPHET “The Light Exposing Darkness,” premiered at Comic-Con 2014 to rave reviews. The preview issue garnered press from The Insider social media correspondents, CultSPIN and TME. Evette Vargas, writer of the comic book and the co-founder of Digital-Reign, along with other producers of the series, attended the popular convention. The DARK PROPHET comic was so well received by attendees and participants alike, that it launched the multiplatform franchise into several directions, including a highly anticipated, upcoming live event. Series star Chase Fein, main cast members and celebrities will be in attendance. The event is scheduled for November to celebrate the successful kickoff of the series. The unprecedented success has attracted the likes of Samsung, Red Bull and other heavyweight sponsors. The event will also celebrate the launch of the first official issue of the comic book, which premieres in October.
DARK PROPHET, the original digital series, starring Henry Rollins (Sons of Anarchy, Black Flag, Rollins Band) and rising star Chase Fein (Suburgatory), premiered on Launch TV Network in June to 85 million subscribers. The digital series will continue to charm its audience in 2015 on Launch TV, beginning the first season with ten episodes. This Sci-Fi Action Thriller has been mounting accolades since it premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival Indie Filmmakers Lounge. The series was in contention for two 2014 TV Academy Emmys in the Interactive category, won an NBC/Universal Production Award and was an official selection at the WGA Writer & Director Showcase.

Vargas is not only the writer of the comic book and the co-founder of Digital Reign, she is the franchise’s Creator, Writer, Director and Exec Producer.
