Coming This Spring – Hands-On Seminars Announces New Course Series on Diagnosis and Healing Through Fascial Manilpulation to Be Taught by Dr. Antonio Stecco
Astoria, NY (PRWEB) February 14, 2015 -- Physical therapists, medical doctors, chiropractors and others in the healing arts are continuously presented with patients whose pains, illnesses or dysfunctions are related to the musculoskeletal system. How to diagnose and resolve these problems is vital to successful treatment.
One of the most important tools in the care of these musculoskeletal dysfunctions is fascial manipulation. The manual therapy method for fascial manipulation was developed by world-renowned author, lecturer, researcher and physiotherapist, Luigi Stecco. Luigi’s work is now carried on by his son, Dr. Antonio Stecco.
This Spring, Hands-On Seminars will be presenting a series of courses taught by Dr. Stecco, a world-class authority on the theory and application of the fascial manipulation method first developed by his father.
Dr. Antonio Stecco is a well-known lecturer and writer himself, and author of 10 articles in journals, five abstracts presented at national conferences, 12 abstracts presented at international conferences. He is also co-author of Fascial Manipulation for Musculoskeletal Pain.
This Certification Program offered by Hands-On Seminars and taught by Dr. Antonio Stecco, combines theoretical lectures, demonstrations, and practical exercises throughout each course day.
Participants will receive lectures on the anatomy and physiology of the fascial system, an explanation of the biomechanical model used in application of this technique, and the anatomical localization of key fascial points. A working knowledge of the treatment applications of theory will be emphasized.
The Fascial Manipulation series is intended for physical therapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, medical doctors, and other licensed health care practitioners with a good working knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, physiology and notions of postural analysis. Massage therapists with a minimum of three years of experience may be eligible but need to contact us prior to registering to review their eligibility.
These certification courses will be available in Astoria, New York starting in the Spring 2015.
