Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation Selects Dominos as their National Vendor for Pizza Math
Davie,Florida (PRWEB) January 22, 2015 -- The Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation has selected Domino’s Pizza as their national vendor for CKSF Pizza Math. Free to all high school students, Pizza Math is an online quiz competition that requires students to calculate the real world cost of buying and sharing pizza. Each month, CKSF awards pizzas to the top scoring students and one teacher.
With Pizza Math being a national competition, CKSF needed a company that could allow them to quickly award the winning students, even those located in rural America. After considering Papa John’s, Pizza Hut, and Little Caesars, CKSF decided that Dominos could deliver what they needed. Dominos’ website is easy to navigate and also allows CKSF to virtually send Dominos gift cards to the winners via email.
With Domino’s Pizza as the motivation, students have a fun way to apply classroom math skills to real world situations, which also addresses one of the Common Core Standards. “All kids like pizza. Pizza seems to be the universal motivator,” says one teacher in regards to the Pizza Math program. CKSF is excited about the future of this program; with thousands of students already participating, the popularity continues to grow each month. CKSF President, Daryl Hulce stated “Students will gladly to do math if there is a big enough reward. The chance to win a pizza seems to motivate all students.”
Pizza Math is open to all high school students in The United States. Anyone interested can register at cksf.org
