Community Recycling’s CR Home Program Connects People through the Simple Act of Reuse
Abingdon, Maryland (PRWEB) December 31, 2014 -- Community Recycling (CR), a member of the Secondary Materials and Recycled Textiles Association (SMART), the international trade association of the for-profit used clothing recycling industry, is offering consumers a new, free and convenient solution for recycling unwanted and gently used shoes, clothing and household textile items for reuse without leaving their home.
Rather than gathering unwanted shoes, clothing or household textile items and hauling them to a roadside bin or receiving center, consumers can sign up for Community Recycling’s CR Home program online, pack a box of gently used clothing, shoes and accessories, add a free shipping label found on CR’s website, and leave it for the Postal Service to deliver it to the CR warehouse. Once CR receives a package, recyclers can access their personal sustainability report and CR will track their material to its ultimate destination for reuse.
