CompareCards Educates Youth for a Brighter Financial Future
Charleston, SC (PRWEB) April 20, 2015 -- CompareCards, a leading credit card comparison company, has launched a series of initiatives for Financial Literacy Month that includes an infographic, e-book and Education Center.
In the United States, only 22 states require a high school course in economics and only 17 states require a high school course in personal finance. Parents are often responsible for teaching their children about basic personal finance, which some parents find to be a taboo subject area.
“It’s more important than ever that parents and educators have the right tools and resources to teach financial responsibility at an early age,” says Chris Mettler, President of CompareCards. “Our financial literacy infographic, e-book and Education Center are great resources for educating our youth about financial topics and set the foundation for healthy financial habits in the future.”
E-book: Toddlers to Teens: Raising Financially Responsible Kids
Toddlers to Teens: Raising Financially Responsible Kids provides parents with a wealth of information about the best ways to teach kids at any age about money. The e-book includes fun activities and printables that will engage children and help families incorporate good money management skills in their everyday lives.

Within the Education Center are the EdU Scholarship Award, Financially Literate Youth (FLY) grant program for schools, a Student Center of free lesson plans, and FinanceU, a resource for college students trying to finance their college education.
