Lincoln, Nebraska (PRWEB) July 19, 2013 -- Compensation Programs, Inc. (ComPro), a health insurance brokerage firm located in Lincoln, Neb., has been selected as one of three General Agents in Nebraska to represent CoOportunity Health. ComPro is the only Lincoln agency working with CoOportunity Health.
CoOportunity Health is the only multistate health insurance CO-OP in the U.S. and the fourth largest CO-OP in terms of funding. The company is licensed to do business in Nebraska and Iowa, and will begin marketing its portfolio of health insurance solutions for anyone under the age of 65 on Oct. 1, 2013. This portfolio will include health plans for individuals and families, small employer groups, and large, fully insured or self-funded employers.
CoOportunity Health is in the process of becoming an accredited qualified health plan (QHP) on the new public Nebraska and Iowa Health Insurance Marketplaces, a.k.a. Exchanges for individual purchasers, and the new Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) Exchanges (when available in Nebraska and Iowa). In addition to participating in the public Exchanges, CoOportunity Health will offer health plans off-Exchange for individuals and employer groups. The company will not participate in the Medicare market at this time.
