CompuHigh Online High School to Meet with Pratt Community College
(PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- During the first full week of August, CompuHigh administrators will be traveling to Pratt, Kansas to meet with administrators at Pratt Community College. The meeting is intended to work out the details of an agreement between the two schools that would allow high school students to earn college credits for some of their upper level high school work online.
CompuHigh developed five college level courses especially designed for use with CompuHigh’s mastery online education model. Students can work through these courses to fulfill some of their high school requirements and to earn college credits at the same time.
“Our partnership with Pratt Community College is a big benefit to students. It can save students so much time and money to have their entry level college courses already taken care of,” says CompuHigh Principal Stan Kanner. “And we know from nearly two decades of experience that our mastery learning methodology really does work for students.”
These courses can be taken by high school students at CompuHigh’s private online high school as well as adult students in the Kansas public Diploma 2 Degree program. Diploma 2 Degree is a new online charter school in Kansas that is free for Kansas adults 21 and over. CompuHigh will be partnering with Pratt Community College, Lyons USD 405 school, and eduKan to provide this unique service to Kansas residents who do not have a high school diploma. CompuHigh’s mastery curriculum will be used.
“We will be working out all the minute details with Pratt, so that the process can be as smooth as possible for our students,” Kanner explains.
