Computer Design & Integration (CDI LLC) to Sponsor NFL Alumni’s Optimal Bowl & Wellness Challenge
Teterboro, NJ (PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- Computer Design & Integration (CDI LLC) today announced its sponsorship of the NFL Alumni’s Optimal Bowl and Wellness Challenge, a health and wellness competition designed to educate the public about health and wellness and to provide funding to youth oriented charities such as TD foundation, P.A.S.T. Youth Sports Programs and other youth charities supported by the NFL Alumni Association.
The three-month program, kicked off to coincide with Super Bowl XLVII week features retired NFL players and military veterans competing to improve their health and motivate the public to optimize their wellness. Cutting edge diagnostics and protocols will be utilized focusing on the areas of brain health, cardiovascular health, weight, nutrition and proper exercise.
“The objective of the challenge for the participants is to get healthy, but more importantly to make people aware of a better way to practice medicine. Rather than just respond to illness everyone can make changes to act in a proactive preventative manner,” said Dr. George Shapiro, chief medical officer of The NFL Alumni’s Optimal Bowl and Wellness Challenge.
Competitors for Season One include: Jim Burt (former NY Giant, Pro Bowl player and CDI LLC employee), Ottis Anderson (former NY Giant and Super Bowl MVP), Karl Nelson (former NY Giant), Bruce Harper (former NY Jet), Mark Moseley (former Washington Redskin, NFL MVP and Pro Bowl player) and Jonathan Gilliam (former U.S. Navy Seal and FBI agent).
“I’m excited about taking on this challenge with my colleagues…it’s like the Pro Bowl all over again. And I’m proud to work for a community-minded organization like CDI, who is one of the event sponsors,” said Jim Burt, former NY Giant and Super Bowl two-time champion, Optimal Wellness Challenge participant and CDI LLC employee.
Viewers can watch the NFL Alumni’s Optimal Bowl and Wellness Challenge as a web TV series from January 28 through April 2014 at http://www.optimalbowl.com.
