Computer Systems Institute Holds Financial Literacy Workshops in Chicago and Elgin December 18-19
Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) December 16, 2013 -- Computer Systems Institute (CSI) recently announced two December Financial Literacy Program workshops designed to help students in the school’s eight-month computer networking, healthcare and business career programs handle their financial obligations, including day-to-day living expenses and credit card obligations while in school as well as future repayment of student loans.
The first workshop will be held at CSI’s Chicago Loop campus on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, with separate sessions at 11AM, 3PM and 6PM. The second will be held at the Elgin campus on Thursday, December 19, 2013, with separate sessions at 12PM and 6PM, both in Lab C.
In addition to learning general financial management skills related to attending and paying for school, each attendee will have an opportunity to gain guidance specific to their unique financial situation through a Q&A session; measure their progress through a survey; and earn CSI Bucks for redemption at their respective campus.
The workshops are part of a larger CSI Financial Literacy Program created to help equip young people with important life skills required for self-sufficiency. Topics covered in other workshops include general money management, managing credit, avoiding identity theft, credit repair, and financial aid.
