COMQUEST Will Now More Adequately Prepare Physicians with the Addition of Clinical Decision-Making Cases
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 28, 2016 -- As one of the most frequently used platforms used by osteopathic physician residents preparing for their board examinations, COMQUEST is now the only company, independent of the board examiners, that offers preparation for CDM cases. These cases were added to the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical License Examination of the United States (COMLEX-USA) by the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME) in order to assess physicians’ ability to make decisions on patient management prior to licensing. Rather than the traditional multiple choice format used for the past century and that only requires simply recalling facts, the physician is now required to exhibit competency in management decisions using short answers and extended multiple choice answers. COMQUEST’s physician staff recognized the immediate need to train physicians for these encounters prior to taking the COMLEX-USA and released 20 cases with two to four questions in each case. The actual COMLEX-USA will contain eight to nine CDM cases.
“My goal is not only for our medical students and physicians to pass their board examinations and fill the primary care physician shortage, but also to become the best physicians possible. Innovating constantly and teaching our users based on the most updated medical guidelines and physician assessments is crucial in meeting this goal.”, says Dr. Jeff Nazar, Founder and CEO of COMQUEST Osteopathic Specialists, LLC.
All prior and future COMQUEST users of its platform will automatically have access to CDM cases as part of their COMLEX-USA Level 3 preparation.
About COMQUEST

The company has a team of physicians that are constantly writing new content and editing existing content to ensure that the material reflects current treatment guidelines and the expectations set forth by the medical examiners.
