New Garden’s patented adaptive roaming technology with cross-chipset interoperability is embedded in Comtrend’s flagship VDSL Gateway, the VR-3060. Together, the VR-3060 combines the best of wired and Wireless technology to meet the high bandwidth needs of consumers today.
Whole-home coverage and elimination of Wireless dead-spots remain an elusive goal of Service Providers deploying residential gateways today. Comtrend’s utilization of New Garden’s WiFigarden SDK in the VR-3060 creates a dynamic system to accomplish this for residences of all sizes. While the VR-3060’s 400mW High Power AC1600 (802.11ac) Wireless can satisfy many residences alone, the WiFigarden technology will allow additional satellite units to work seamlessly together, creating a powerful mesh solution.
The VR-3060 becomes the home’s first Wi-Fi Mesh node. This saves the user money, as commercial mesh kits usually start with three units, rather than starting with one and adding as needed. Additionally, these costly three-unit minimum solutions conflict with the gateway’s wireless, thus requiring the user to disable the gateway’s wireless.
