Conejo Valley Hosts 30th Annual Great Race of Agoura Hills Event
Agoura Hills, Calif. (PRWEB) February 25, 2015 -- The Dole Great Race of Agoura Hills announces its return with its 30th annual race. Taking place Saturday, March 28, 2015. An after-party will follow the event. Additionally, the Sports and Fitness Expo will take place Thursday, March 26, through Saturday, March 28, 2015. Lodging specials are available.
This event is suitable for all-ages and skill levels, making it a perfect family friendly getaway to Conejo Valley.
The annual event brings runners from across the region to experience an outstanding course and one of the largest running events in the area. The Great Race was voted Best Half Marathon in the U.S. by active.com, attracting the most experienced runners, families and children. The unique race offers a variety of trails, courses and terrain to challenge anyone. The courses include: Chesebro Half Marathon, Pacific Half Marathon, Dena Kastor 5K, Old Agoura 10K, Kids Mile and Fun Run. All of the races conclude at Chumash Park.
During the after-party, participants will enjoy The Great Brunch, which is supported by sponsoring restaurants and businesses. Race participants can spend time with fellow racers with music, food and drinks during this delightful event. The Great Race benefits local schools, an excellent way to give back while having a great time. This portion of the event will take place at Chumash Park.
The Sports & Fitness Expo will be held indoors on Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27, at the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center and outdoors at Chumash Park on Saturday, March 28. Visitors will discover exhibits, shops and local businesses at the expo’s booths. There is something for every health and fitness-minded individual to discover.
