Connecting Small Businesses to Premier Government Contractors - 5th Annual Northern Virginia B2G Matchmaking Conference & Small Business EXPO
Reston, VA (PRWEB) April 18, 2017 -- The 5th Annual Northern Virginia B2G Matchmaking Conference takes place May 3, 2017. More than 250 small business attendees will take part in matchmaking appointments with 20+ local, state and federal agencies and prime contractors. The event continues to grow every year with over 30+ exhibitors displaying at our Small Business EXPO.
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) released its annual report highlighting how the federal government reached its small business federal contracting goal for the third consecutive year, awarding 25.75 percent in federal contracts to small businesses totaling 90.7 billion. The 25.75 percent of contracts awarded to small businesses represents the highest ever percentage of contracts.
The Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) initiated local matchmaking opportunities 4 years ago to help agencies and primes meet with small businesses. The SBA’s report is a reflection of the continued growth in interest from the small business community to unite with local agencies and primes to grow their business.
“The Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce is proud to be one of the first Chambers to initiate a B2G Matchmaking Conference. The growth of this year’s event is a testament to our emerging government contracting industry in the Reston and West Fairfax area. The B2G Conference is another example of how the Reston Chamber continues to be the catalyst of small business development and growth in the Northern Virginia area.” -Mark Ingrao, President and CEO of the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce.
