Conned Comedian Gets Clean Apartment
New York City, NY (PRWEB) March 26, 2014 -- Ari Teman may never be able to wipe away the mental images of the sex party he found taking place in his apartment upon returning to check on the Airbnb user he had rented it to, but now at least he knows that the apartment itself is wiped clean.
“It doesn’t feel like I’m living in a Petri dish anymore,” said Teman. “I’d even feel comfortable turning on a black light in here now without the fear that it would look like a Rorschach test.”
Teman, a comedian living in Chelsea, made national headlines this month after he posted a blog about the bizarre scene he encountered after renting his apartment on Airbnb. When he returned to check with the user who rented his apartment on the travel rental website, Tenman discovered that the man was promoting a plus-sized orgy in Teman’s home. The blog went viral, prompting a response from Airbnb to atone for Teman’s property that was damaged during the ordeal.
However, just like the intentions of the “XXX Freak Fest” attendees, the apartment remained dirty until two New York City-based companies, The Junkluggers and MyClean, stepped up to sanitize the apartment.
“I have no idea what I would do if I came home to what Ari came home to,” said Mike Brody, Head of Product for MyClean. “That’s just not right. So, I’m happy that the MyClean team and The Junkluggers could assist in Ari’s cleaning, and healing, process.”

The Junkluggers team removed damaged furniture from the apartment, throwing away the collapsed and stained mattress, the broken bed, and broken and torn lamps. The crew from MyClean gave the disrespected apartment the company’s “Deep Clean” service, thoroughly cleaning the sticky floor and trails of mud and dirt, while tossing discarded bottle caps and condom wrappers. The cleaning process took over six hours.
“We’ve tackled some pretty heavy jobs, but this has to be the most bizarre call that The Junkluggers has ever received,” said Josh Cohen, Founder and CEO of The Junkluggers. “No one deserves what Ari went through, so along with our friends at MyClean, we’re happy that we were able to successfully de-freak his apartment.”
