Constellix Announces Successful Sonar RUM Webinar
Reston, VA (PRWEB) April 27, 2016 -- Just a few weeks before its official launch out of beta, Constellix hosted a webinar featuring their newest service, Sonar Real-User Monitoring (RUM). Constellix Senior Systems Engineer Evan Daniels hosted the event. Daniels is a DNS industry veteran, and was able to provide insightful tips on how to use Sonar RUM to optimize web performance.
As websites and businesses make the shift to cloud-hosted services, there has been a steady increase in network performance issues. Specifically, system administrators neglect to optimize their backend services for the cloud, DNS hosting for one. Too much time is spent on the front-end, namely CDN services, which rest on a DNS backbone. “Without optimized DNS performance, it doesn’t matter what you do to the front-end, it will collapse if your backend services aren’t up to par,” says Daniels.
Sonar RUM gives system administrators a direct line of sight to how their network is performing, both front and backend optimization. During the course of the webinar, Daniels explained how Sonar RUM is able to show users the various services and content that affects page load performance. Users are also able to analyze end-user metrics based on location, to troubleshoot geographical network problems.
“Sonar RUM is not your typical monitoring tool,” says Daniels, “our platform allows you to analyze and make unique configurations for individual end-users.” This is significantly different from Sonar RUM’s predecessor, synthetic monitoring, which only allow clients to monitor end-user behavior from network nodes. Network performance optimization has become individualized, requiring system administrators to troubleshoot based on unique end-user connections.
Viewers were given a walk through of how to install and begin using Sonar RUM to optimize their networks for individual end-user performance. The suite is currently available for free for DNS Made Easy users while it is still in beta. Many DNS Made Easy customers have already made the switch to Constellix and are using RUM to regularly analyze their network performance.
