Constellix DNS Releases New White Paper Highlighting How GeoIP Services Create the Most Accurate Geo-DNS
Reston, VA (PRWEB) August 18, 2015 -- GeoIP services have become the cornerstone of the achieving the fastest resolution speeds. Configured with GeoFilters and GeoProximity rules, these rules take GeoIP to the next level by allowing clients’ content to be specified by location. In Constellix DNS’s GeoIP white paper, our engineers discuss how GeoIP services and GeoFilters work, how they optimize content for the modern online market, and finally how these services create the most accurate Geo-DNS experience.
The white paper is available for free here, to help you learn more about how GeoIP services can optimize your content for SEO, increase your website’s scalability, all within a fully customizable interface.
The study first investigates how GeoIP services operate. Simply put, GeoIP pushes clients’ content all over the world at different IP addresses per region or location. When a user is searching for a client’s website, the query will be sent to a nearby name server, which then redirects the query to the relatively closest IP address for the desired website. This process allows Constellix DNS to bring client’s content as close as possible to users, decreasing resolution times, and nearly eliminating latency.
“Geo-DNS has proven itself to be the most efficient DNS on the market, this is because GeoIP services don’t require a protocol level redirect,” according to lead developer Anteneh Nurlien. “Rather, clients experience no appreciable delay because they’re immediately being sent to their desired location with no rerouting.” Nurlien is one of many Constellix engineers who provide their insight in this study. The process a query takes when using GeoIP routing is further explained in the white paper, along with easy to interpret graphics that trace the path of a query when using GeoIP services.
Engineers also discuss how GeoIP services are integrated with the Global Traffic Director, a long standing proprietary platform used by DNS Made Easy for over a decade. Together, these two features overcome each other’s short-comings, creating a product that can detect abnormalities and is fully customizable for your team’s needs. GeoIP services are also configured using GeoFilters which allow client’s to decide how their users will access their site on a geographic basis. These filters have a variety of uses such as filtering content based on language, orientation, or even using a different version of the site to see what customers prefer. GeoFilters can also be configured to exclude certain users using an NX domain.
All these features and more including more specific GeoFilters and GeoProximity rules, integration and more are discussed within the white paper. All Constellix DNS white papers are free with no obligation to reveal personal information beforehand. “Our technology needs to be readily available and easy to understand for IT pros and end users alike,” according to President of Constellix Steven Job. The white paper is current available for free HERE.
