Constellix Sonar Lite Reaches 10,000 Checks per Day
Reston, VA (PRWEB) March 15, 2016 -- Shortly after the release of the free mobile monitoring app,Sonar Lite, Constellix announces that the app has reached over 10,000 checks per day. With hundreds of clients regularly using the app, many are even calling it a daily network utility.
Sonar Lite is the only network-monitoring app that allows users to monitor their domains through many different protocols and ports, and even choose which location the check is being run from. Sonar Lite harnesses the power of the full Constellix network, which spreads across nearly two dozen nodes.
Constellix recently conducted a survey among their system administrator clients and asked them different questions about their experiences transitioning to mobile. Nearly all surveyed clients claimed to use anywhere from two to five mobile applications everyday in order to perform their monitoring duties. They were then then asked if these tools were able to replace the ones they use on their desktops. Nine out of ten stated that they have yet to find either one or many applications that could handle all of the duties required of their desktops.
Based on the feedback received through the survey, the Constellix engineers designed Sonar Lite to meet as many of these needs as possible. While the app is only a free version of the Sonar suite, President of Constellix Steven Job has already hinted at future additions to the Sonar app that will meet all of the requested features. “We’re in the process of adding many of the same features we currently offer through our web-based control panel into the mobile app. Our hopes are to completely transition our clients from being dependent on their desktops, to the freedom of mobile monitoring,” says Job.
Sonar Lite comes at a crucial point in the evolution of network monitoring. There’s been a massive push to mobile over the last few years in tandem with the development of cross-device applications.
