CINCINNATI, OH (PRWEB) October 18, 2017 -- ConstructConnect, a leading provider of construction information and technology solutions in North America, announced it is building on its continued corporate philanthropic efforts with the addition of two generous financial donations to the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) local chapters in Houston and Puerto Rico. Both Houston and Puerto Rico have suffered devastating damage and are looking to their local AIA chapters to provide design assistance with renovation. ConstructConnect funds will help support that renovation, bringing hope back to those in need. Additionally, in 2018, ConstructConnect through its nonprofit foundation AEC Cares will sponsor a blitz build in Houston to contribute to the revitalization of the city overwhelmed by one of the worst weather events in U.S. history.
“ConstructConnect is proud to support AIA in their efforts to contribute to rebuilding their communities in Houston and Puerto Rico,” said Laura Marlow, vice president of strategic partnerships. “Given our long-term relationship with AIA, it’s just natural that we lend a hand after these devastating hurricanes.”
ConstructConnect’s commitment to community is built into its core values by putting people first which includes co-sponsoring AEC Cares’s annual blitz build and community partnerships with Ronald McDonald House and Habitat for Humanity. ConstructConnect encourages its employees to give back to their community and lets its employees take as much as 24 paid hours to volunteer every year.
“Even before we knew the totality of the devastation of hurricanes Harvey and Maria, our partner ConstructConnect reached out to see how they could help our AIA Centers and members get back on their feet, explained John Crosby, Managing Director, Corporate Partnership, The American Institute of Architects. “We're honored to be longstanding partners with companies like ConstructConnect whose employees care deeply about the profession and the people impacted.”
