Constructech Magazine Names the 2016 Women in Construction and Leading Constructech Mavens
Carol Stream, Ill. (PRWEB) August 19, 2016 -- In recent years, women have transformed the construction industry. Whether they’re out on the jobsite or in the office, women have proven they know how to push the boundaries of what’s expected, and leverage the latest technology.
Constructech magazine is proud to unveil the 2016 Women in Construction, as well as the recipients of the Constructech Mavens award.
Submissions for the 2016 Women in Construction were made to the editorial staff at Constructech magazine by colleagues, bosses, and peers, highlighting how these women have displayed tremendous achievements by integrating new solutions to improve their quality of work.
With roles that span across many corporate levels, these 38 women were chosen based on their ability to go far beyond their own roles, instilling changes in their respective companies and the industry as a whole.
“Each one of these women has stepped up to the plate to undertake some of the world’s biggest projects,” says Peggy Smedley, editorial director, Constructech magazine. “With their willingness to take these challenges head on, they have raised the bar significantly on what women can achieve in construction.”
These women were also acknowledged for their continued contributions outside of the workplace. If its speaking at conferences, heading local committees, giving to charities, or simply lending a hand to another woman looking to make their mark on the industry, these women have done it all with determination and grace.

The 2016 Constructech Mavens honor women at the helm of a technology firm that has a significant impact on the construction industry.
These six women are executives, leaders, and champions of ideas—and many worked at a construction jobsite long before they were heading up a technology company.
